Build This Raised 3-Tier Planter Box – Great for Small Gardens

Want to grow herbs, flowers, or veggies even if you’re short on space? A vertical planter box is a smart, beautiful, and functional solution. This raised 3-tier design is easy to build and beginner-friendly.

🪴 What You’ll Need:

Standard 1x4 lumber

Exterior screws

Drill and saw

Wood glue (optional)

Wood sealer or paint

Optional: Landscape fabric


🌱 Build Overview:

1. Cut the Parts
Use the cut list to prepare all side panels, base slats, and legs for each of the 3 planter sizes.

2. Assemble the Boxes
Start with the smallest box and work upward. Screw slats to the side supports and add base slats for drainage.

3. Stack and Attach
Use screws or brackets to fix the boxes together at an angle. Ensure stability before filling.

4. Finish It
Seal the wood and optionally line the inside with landscape fabric before adding soil and plants.
